• Cannot enable Twitter on Mac

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

Running Lotus 8.5.2 on OSX Mountain Lion.  When clicking "Get Pin", the default browser never opens, and therefore I never get a PIN request.

Is there a workaround?  Manually logging into twitter does not seem to help.

    Thanks

    • Windows client not working

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

I tried to go to a Windows app and install Wildfire in it, and was going to copy/paste the data from it.  However, after clicking "Get Pin", nothing happens.

      Using Wildfire 1.6

    • Twitter issue with Mac/Windows on 8.5.2?

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

Still having problems getting a PIN for Twitter.  After clicking "Get PIN", it does not open a browser window to give me a PIN code.  I have even tried to enable both Notes embedded browser as well as OS browser.

Facebook browser pop up works fine to authenticate.  Just not Twitter.  I'm guessing no one else has had this issue?

      Thanks

        Hi Aaron,

Can you create a LinkedIn account ok?  It uses similar code and would be interesting to compare.

Had you used any previous versions of WildFire?  If so, was it working there?

Could you please open  the "Help" -> "Support" --> "View Trace/Log" and send me any errors that are produced after you click "Get Pin".

It seems to be related to your combination of OS and Notes version.  If you have access to a Windows Notes installation, then the quickest work-around would be to create the account there and copy the Tokens across manually.

I will look into this issue when I get the chance.

        Regards,

        Andrew

        • LinkedIn and Facebook work

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

LinkedIn and Facebook linking worked great.  Just not Twitter.  It isn't launching.  Wierd, huh?  Opening it from a Windows client (8.5.2 also), also doesn't work.

This is from my trace file:

              Hi Aaron & Brendan,

Thanks for this feedback.  It turns out Twitter has changed the URLs it uses for Authentication of  new accounts.  I have implemented a fix, as well as some improved handling and will upload a new release soon.

              Best regards

              Andrew

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

Thanks Andrew!  Any idea when a release will be made?  I'm a little anxious at using this.  :)

                Thanks

                  Hi Aaron,

I have just uploaded a new version (v1.6.1) which should solve the problem.

Let me know how you go.

                  Cheers,

                  Andrew

                  • Where is the version?

By Aaron Paxson 1 decade ago

I'm sorry, Andrew, if I am looking at the wrong place.  Under "Downloads/ Releases", I only see version 1.6.0 for January as the latest?

                      Hi Aaron,

Seems the release disappeared from OpenNTF over night.  I have re-uploaded the files.  You can find them here.

                      Thanks,

                      Andrew

        • Twitter PIN not wokring

By Brendan O'Sullivan 1 decade ago

I have been using the Wildfire plugin for a long time and it has been working great. I just installed Notes 9 and re-installed the Wildfire widget. I have Greenhouse and LinkedIn accounts working but when adding the Twitter account nothing happens when I click on the "Get Pin" button.
