    Hallo,

    -ich habe das OSPR heute für unsere Unternehmens-IT eingeführt. Wie ich finde ein ausserordentlich nützliches Tool. Natürlich möchte ich auch etwas zurückgeben, daher hier ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge:

    -Today I implemented the OSPR into our corporate Domino environment.. We find that it's a really useful tool. To give something back to the community, here some suggestions:



    Kategorien/ Categories:

    • Mehrfachauswahl sollte bei Kategorie aktiviert sein. Dies habe ich selbst hinbekommen ;-)
    • Multiple Selection should be activated for the category field. I could do this by myself ;-)



      Lesbar für/ Readable for:
    • Nach Ewigkeiten habe ich herausgefunden, das man mehrere User mit ":" Listen kann. Evtl. als Comment im Designer-Feld hervorheben.
    • It took me ages to find out how to list more people in the template (with ":"). Maybe you should describe this as a comment in the designer-field?



      Lesbar für/ Readable for:

      -Mir graut es jetzt schon vor dem Tag, an dem ein neuer Mitarbeiter anfängt. In diesem Fall muss man ja für ALLE Passwörter noch einen User hinzufügen. Da sitzt man sicher stundenlang dran. Wäre toll für die nächste Version etwas zu implementieren, das man hier einfach eine Gruppe als "Lesbar für" einsetzen kann. Natürlich sollten vorhandene Einträge entsprechende Änderungen in der Gruppe beim nächsten Anschauen automatisch übernehmen.



      -If we get a new member in our IT staff, it will be necessary to add him as a reader to ALL the

      passwords. It would be great if you could implement something, that you can use a group for the "Readable for" function. The OSPR should overtake changes on the group automatic, when a password file is opened the next time.

      Hi Michael, first let me say thanks for your interrest in this Open Source initiative.



      I think your idea with multi value categories is usefull and I am thinking about implementing it in the next release.



      The other requests are currently not possible due to the Lotus Notes Security. The secret information is not just beeing hidden from displaying, it is encrypted with the public key of all users in the list. Therefore you can't use a group. This is high secure, even registering a user with the same name does not give access to the information.



      Maybe it is possible to add a function to reduce security by just using Reader Fields, those can contain the name of a group too, but keep in mind, Information is not encrypted with Reader Fields! If you have access to the servers filesystem you can read all information!
