• "XSP is undefined" error

By Ferhat BULUT 1 decade ago

Installed 853-20111117-1058 on Client & Domino Server and Domino is 8.5.3

We were using 8.5.2 with 8.5.2.201109131928NTF.

After upgrade, I cleaned and re-compiled XPages application.

When I open database in browser, I got 'XSP is undefined error. Line 128, Char 1

    Also I got dojo errors.

When I created new database in Lotus Designer 8.5.3, and copied all design elements manually from old database to new database, problem is solved.

This is serious problem for us. Because database can have lots of document and we cannot move documents sometimes from 1 database to another.

When at first run, I got "XSP is undefined" error ? Why it is solved when I created new database & copied design elements etc.

        • Do you have a sample app or markup of the page to send on?

I was using 8.5.2 with 8.5.2.201109131928NTF ExtLib version for this db (in screenshot)

We upgraded Client & Domino to 8.5.3.

Then installed ExtLib 853-20111117-1058 on Client & Domino Server.

            Opened db in designer.

I got 1 problem. Changed rows property to rowCount which is about View Paging Control.

Then previewed in Internet Explorer 8.

            First open;

            "Could not load extlib.dijit.Menu"

            "XSP is undefined"

"Could not load extlib.dijit.Menu" -> I used Container Node (Menu) in Place Bar (at Right Corner).

"XSP is undefined" -> I don't know why it is not loaded.

            After this situation;

1- I created new empty NTF database on 8.5.3 Client.

2- Then copied all design elements one by one from old database to new one.

3- Then replaced original database with NTF.

            4- Solved !

1- I created new empty NSF database on 8.5.3 Client.

2- Then copied all design elements one by one from old database to new one.

            3- Solved !

I clean browser cache on exit everytime. (Related property is selected in internet explorer, as you know)

I cleaned and re-built database before new copy solutions. Failed !

Our all xpages-based databases had this problem after upgrade. (created on 8.5.2 and used 8.5.2 extlibs, then upgrade to 8.5.3 and 8.5.3 extlib.)

            I hope It can help.

            Thanks

By Ferhat BULUT 1 decade ago

In this database, there is "XSP is undefined" error.

I created this db with lotus 8.5.2 client and 8.5.2.201109131928NTF ExtLib version.

It has 2 xpages and two of them have an error when opened in explorer.

            • I tried your app but I'm not seeing the issue in the latest build and on a build from October...

              ...so maybe I'm missing something?

              Regards,

              Paul.

                    I will check it again.

I justed checked sample database on my local server and "there is no problem". yes.

But I am using IE9 locally. We are using IE8 in company. Maybe there is an issue about server settings.

Unfortunately server is not controlled by us. So maybe ExtLib packets installed wrong on server.

                    I will return after check.

                    Thanks for your help Paul.
