    FYI – Importing a Label Template creates duplicate fields (due to all the fields created in the Template per record) in the "MailMergeField" And "FieldFormula" fields.



    With a manual edit of the data stored in those fields to remove the duplicates, you can successfully use this DB for Labels as well.

      You´re right.

      This effect appears not only with Lable Templates but also with normal Templates containing dublicate merge field names.

      I´m working at it. When I get the field names I use the ArrayUnique function to discard duplicate field names.



      Quickly workaround:

      If you create a Lable Template Word creates a document containing a table.

      Specify the layout in the leftmost cell in the first row only.

      Don´t transfer the layout in the other cells because this copies the fields into the remaining cells. The Letter Engine will performing this transfer on letter creation because you may create a lables over two or more pages.

      Well, it seems this is 10 years I will post a more updated solution… As you might already know IBM Notes natively supports printing a very limited set of basic labels specifically supporting mail merge data in the Contacts (Personal Address Book). You must download the tool below to support mail merging to the latest labels including barcoding. i.e. USPS Intelligent Mail barcoding (IMb). It supports Notes (Standard) and Notes (Basic) running on Windows with Word 2016/2013/2011/2008/2007/2003 installed.
