• Tool Feature Request and Kudos

    I think this tool is absolutely wonderful and I can't thank you enough for creating something that doesn't make me install something on the Domino server, rely on Web features to be implemented and doesn't make me post to a 3rd party server. Thank You!!!



    I would now like to ask for some possible features to be implemented in the future. Is it possible to only synchronize calendar entries that are a week old and 2 weeks ahead, configurable to users preference of course. In addition is it possible to identify the information you want to sync with Google Calendar, for example if I only want to have the Title (Subject), Date and Time only, can I exclude Location, Rooms, Resources and Description?



    Also can I also choose to only sync Meetings and Reminders, while choosing not to sync Anniversaries and Appointments?



    Excellent tool, I think you have done an excellent job in putting this together.

      Hi steve,



      Thank you for your requesting. I like the idea that user can specify a sync start date as one week older than today. This could save the time to synchronize.



      Ohter ideas seem not to be needed for me. Do you have any background story of these requirements ? If your reasons would make sense also for other people, I'm willing to implement these.

        Thank you so much for responding so quickly, I am happy to provide further clarification of my requests regarding additional functionality.<br/>



        Selection of Calendar Fields:

        • This would simply be based on two main factors, security and need of data. I will explain, the main reason I am using this program is to get my calendar data from Lotus Notes to my Google Calendar, to which I sync wirelessly with my iPhone. In an effort to minimize risks I would like to have the ability to only sync Subject along with Date and Time to let me know that I have a meeting, still using Lotus notes to store conference number information. The second portion that lead to this requirement is some of my meeting invites have lengthy detailed descriptions that is worthless as it is truncated or not easily read on a mobile.



          Selection of Calendar Entry Type:
        • I have to say that this would simply be a nice to have from a functionality stand point and probably would not be a requirement. In fact at this point I can not think of any particular reasoning that would move this request to a higher priority.

          Security is a very good point of view. I totally agree with you. Function of selecting calendar entry field will be implemented in future release, not so far, maybe v1.01? It depends on our availability.
