    There is an option in Notes to create a view of a special type that contains just those documents not included in a folder.  Would it not be a simpler task to create one of these views to display these documents?

      Thanks Peter.  I originally developed this under 8.0.x when that feature was not available.

       
      Also, this creates 2 other opportunities:
       
      1) I run a script that places all unfiled documents in the Junk folder (I'm sure you're aware of the issues of deleting folders without deleting the documents).  This is another tool used to keep mailfiles smaller
       
2) There was pushback about "hiding" documents. And having them mixed in with All Documents was not a viable solution.  I needed a way to show what documents were moved out of the Inbox, and in combination with #1 above, this seemed like the best alternative.
