I just created another defect but the system mangled it.  Let me try again.

I have a mac with OSX 10.6.7 running Lotus Notes 8.5.3

A few entries are being synced but most are throwing exceptions.  I have a log file and happy to send it to you, pasting it here killed the last defect.
