• Getting "Not a sub or function name: NTFFOLDERADD" while opening any folder

By Marcel Ribas 2 decades ago

    Low, but annoying…

    I had a Notes 6.5 template before.

    Thanks,

    Marcel

    • did you try to upgrade your folders? <eom>

      • Yes, I did, no luck. Is there any "special" way to replace design?

By Marcel Ribas 2 decades ago

I have noticed that even using replace design, some elements from previous templates still lurk around.

Is there any way to COMPLETELY replace the design?

        Cheers,

        Marcel

        • Upgrade folders

Full replace the design of the database with the OpenNTF template and then use the actions menu option to upgrade the design of all folders to that of the inbox.

When this is complete, close notes and re-open and you should no longer have the problem.

These 2 steps are the only way to fully refresh the design of all elements.

You need to upgrade the folders everytime you change the mail template design.

          • Now it got even worse!!!

Ben, I tried to do what you told, tried to replace the template to the Domino Web Access 6 template (iNotes6.ntf) and upgrade the folders but now I got deeper in trouble.

I got two error messages now… sometimes the NTFOLDERADD error and sometimes the "Illegal circular use: OpenNTFLibraryUI".

No way to remove these? Can anyone help me?

            • Try Ben's approach again....

By Vince Schuurman/NotesOSS 2 decades ago

… but shutdown the router first.

The upgrade folders inheret their design from the inbox. Sometimes the inbox can't be up/downgraded because of the router.

I am seeing the same problem. How do I go back to the out of box template? I have tried all the steps. What do you mean by shutdown the router.

                • It should be easy

You do have designer/manager rights to the mailbox do you?

Try creating a local replica and replacing design again. Close the mailbox, reopen, then refresh the folder design. Close/reopen once more and test.
