By Shawn Taylor 2 decades ago

I have a page that I created as a root page. however, when I choose the create new page link it gives me a script error that says it's not defined. Does anyone else have this experience?

The current template definitely has that function defined in its ncluded JS file. Have you updated from an

earlier version of DW? If so, did you copy across the new Javascript resource document?

      • Nope, fresh install of 1.0.2

I will re-apply the template and see what happens!

        Thanks,

Re-applying the design isn't the issue.

All CSS and Javascript data are stored in resource documents rather than design elements. You need to make sure that you copy across the "wiki.js" resource document (look in the "Site resources" view) from the 1.0.2 template to your live database (backing up any custom Javascript you've added of course, so that you can add this back).

          • My Humblest Apologies

By Shawn Taylor 2 decades ago

            Ben,

I am afraid I owe you an apology. When I first downloaded the template zip I made the assumption that the template had it all!!

That being said, I in my infinite intelligence, felt unstoppable in accomplishing the task of running this wiki! So I created a blank DB, did a design replace and thought I was golden! For the last month I have been staring at my database, wondering why it looked nothing like http://www.benpoole.com/wiki and what the heII I had done wrong! Today, I found online, and read, the setup PFD you had published.

            When in doubt RTFM!!!

I had it up in 15 minutes.

Subsequently, I posted the request to bundle the PDF in the ZIP!

            This is great work!

            Thanks,

            Shawn
