Sorry for getting back that late. Thought I get an EMail when someone adds content to the project but apparently I did not. Anyway, version 1.0 is free of any Extension Library so you could use it on domino servers prior to 8.5.3.

Version 1.1 uses the application layout to generate the web application, so 8.5.3 is needed for that. The Dojo mobile app uses the 8.5.3 ExtLib mobile features. The jQuery mobile app however is free of ExtLib stuff and can be used on Domino servers before 8.5.3.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
