• Initial email

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

This may be something I may have done. The app works just fine except for one thing. We get notification emails for everything except the initial ticket creation. We have to check the database all the time to see if there are new tickets. I can reassign, add a todo and other things, but never get the initial email.

    • pls check NewCallMailInformations

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

and the other config documents that are related to that entry.

      • By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

Those seem to be populated correctly. Newcallmail informationss is set to yes. Newcall mailsendto has three names on three seperate lines. Newcallmail summary is set to N. I'll watch and see if it was just a day thing.

        • Could you please check the Logs in the Admin Views.

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

Might be that there is an error like:

SPOOFMESSAGE: 13 on line 108: Type Mismatch

And are you using different mail.box es on the server where you installed !!HELP!! ??

          • Log?

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I hope we're discussing the Notes log because I can't find a log for iHelp. When I click on logs under configuration view there is nothing.

            • Openlog.nsf

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I don't seem to have that database. I created a blank, but I'm sure that's not what was intended.

              • OpenLog

By Ulrich Krause 2 decades ago

is another great project on OpenNTF by Julian Robichaux. http://www.openntf.org/Projects/pmt.nsf/ProjectHome?ReadForm&Query=OpenLog

              • We built in two possibilities to log

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

First the Openlog from Julian which is a relly sexy software and then as a default some minor logging that is very basic.

Check out the administration part. You will find a "Log" over there and tell us what you find there.

                • Log

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

                  There is nothing there.

          • Logs

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I finally figured out my log problem. The agent was set to run on an nsf file instead of the server, oops. There are several errors in the log.

Error 184 on line 30 in function CHECKANDEVALUATE: Variant does not contain a container

Error 217 on line 183 in function SPOOFMESSAGE: Error creating product object

Error 91 on line 184 in function SPOOFMESSAGE: Object variable not set

Error 91 on line 27 in function GETLANGUAGESTRINGBYKEY: Object variable not set

Error 91 on line 37 in function GETLANGUAGEITEM: Object variable not set

Error 13 on line 27 in function BUILDLANGUAGELISTSTRING: Type mismatch

Error 92 on line 29 in function GETLANGUAGESTRINGBYKEY: FOR loop not initialized

Error 184 on line 30 in function GETLANGUAGESTRINGBYKEY: Variant does not contain a container

Error 92 on line 26 in function BUILDLANGUAGELISTSTRING: FOR loop not initialized

Error 5 on line 327 in function SPOOFMESSAGE: Illegal function call

Error 120 on line 29 in function CHANGEDKEYWORDSCOPY: List item does not exist

Error 48 on line 30 in function CHECKANDEVALUATE: Error in loading DLL

I think this is the gist of them all.

            • There was another different one

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

Error 120 on line 39 in function INITIALIZE: List item does not exist

Error 120 on line 28 in function NEWKEYWORDSCOPY: List item does not exist

Error 13 on line 26 in function BUILDLANGUAGELIST: Type mismatch

            • Could you perhaps give some of us access to that database somehow?

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

All those messages are more than a little bit irregular. So what we need to have is a closer look at the system where it should be used.

              • local copy

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I have a local copy of the database. Can I send it with a message?

                • Yes you can

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

                  Send it to Thomas.Schulte@Schulte-Kulmbach.de

    • email ticket

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I created a mail-in database, but can't figure out how to email a trouble ticket. I'm going to assume that it is something simple and I just don't see it.

      • disregard..almost

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

I figured it out. I just opened a new email addressed it to the mail-in database and I received an email that there was a new ticket in the database. I opened the database and it was there. My email signature became the problem, but that's OK. I did notice that none of the system information filled in which is what I was testing.

        • Email message

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

The email message that responds to the open call is garbage. See paste:

I also noticed in 1.5.1, for manually receiving system information, you need to add the database info, I'm not sure if it goes in the Yes/No line or new keyword needs to be created.

          • OK for the 1.5.1 you need the AInfo Fields ...

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

But they can be found in the NTF from where you can copy them.

Regarding your Mail Problem. I have never ever seen !!HELP!! behaving like this. I simply cannot imagine how this is happening. To solve this i or Ulrich should take a closer look at your system. But since i do not know where you're from and how we could manage to link us together this could be a little difficult.

You can contact me via Skype "thomasschulte-kulmbach". If i am online. And we can perhaps talk about that.

            • I could

By Michelle Dabney 2 decades ago

Email a local copy of the database. Everything else seems to work with no issues, except for the initial message. I check the database. If there are new tickets, I assign, then reassign them. Then there is a message.

              • Ok do it.

By Thomas Schulte 2 decades ago

I'll try to find out what is going wrong. But i think that this might not be a database issue. More some thing that is a combination of server and os or something like this.
