• Integration with kSpam

By Morten Lund 2 decades ago

As kSpam has evolved greatly, I think it would be cool for the users to use kSpam as a sort of plugin in OpenNTF Mail Experience (OME).

    What I mean is:

    setup kSpam to use defaultaction=mark.

Then an agent will run before new mail arrives in OME. Based on the value of KS_PROB, it will move the mail into a SPAM-folder, if KS_PROB is higher than 0.9.

In the Spam-folder design, there should be a possibilities to:

    a) accept as spam, which will copy the mail into mailspam.nsf, and delete it from the users database.

    b) reject as spam, which will copy the mail into the users inbox, and copy the mail into mailgood.nsf.

This way, the spam will be verified by the user herself, which I think would be the perfect solution.

A few changes to my suggestion:

The "Mark as spam" should be in the inbox view. Action: Move mail to

      mailspam.nsf

The spam-folder should only contain these actions:

Delete (no need to forward anything already known as spam)

Reject as spam: Moves mail to inbox, and sends a copy to mailgood.nsf.
