• How to use ExtLib and its plugins in mixed 8.5.2/8.5.3 environments

By Lothar Mueller 1 decade ago

Over time I have implemented a few extlib controls into customer projects. Now the first of my customers started upgrading to 8.5.3 including an upgrade to the 8.5.3 extlib codebase, while others still are running the previous versions. Question for me is now: how do I as a consutlant deal with this situation? Will I have to maintain separate development environments so that I can maintain all kinds of projects I'm having out there? While I can set the Xpages compiler to create some 8.5.2 code I doubt that this would also influence any osgi plugins, or would it?

Or is it safer in this context to stay on an 8.5.2 codebase all together as long as possible?

This is getting a bit confusing now...
