• Field Contains Incorrect Value

    Hi Bob,



    I have received an error message:



    "No 2007 Annual Leave document found for user/Companyname. Annual Leave CANNOT be requested without a year specific Annual Leave document. Please create an Annual Leave document for the year requested and re-submit your request"



    Could you explain me the reason of this error message and the way to come over this. Your help is very much appreciated.

      Thanks again for your continuing interest in Vacation Request.



      The message means just what it says: if you have not created an Annual Leave Allocation document for the individual trying to request leave in the requested year then they cannot request leave. Please read/study the Help, Using document and follow the setup specified there. It covers this requirement in detail.

      Hi Bob,



      I have exactly the same problem and I can't find a solution in the help text.



      The only text I can find is 'Only people already in the system with an existing Annual Leave Allocation are offered as options'.



      But how to create such an annual Leave allocation for each person, I can't find.

      Can you please give me a hint?

        Hi Antonio,



        Thanks for your interest in Vacation request!



        From the LeaveSummaryViews Navigator (You must have the roles [Admin] & [ViewAllowances])

        You get here by clicking on the Leave Tracking heading



        Click All Annual Leave Allowances



        Click Create A/L Allowance



        Choose Person Name.

        Pick the Team/Location

        Choose Start Date. NB: Leave is calculated by the calendar year.

        Type in the Annual Leave Allowance.



        Days Brought Forward: At the beginning of a Year type in the number of unused Days Brought Forward into this year's Leave Allocation from last year if you organization allows for this.



        Days Carried Forward: At Year End type in the number of unused Days Carried Forward into next year's Leave Allocation if you organization allows for this.



        Click Save and Close





        That is how to add people to the system once they are in the ACL



        I have tried to improve the Help,Using documentation again in the upcoming 2.2.6d release.

        I have also added a button so that people can request that approved leave be Revoked.

        Email messages have been improved also.



        Will try to get 2.2.6d out soon so that I can concentrate on 2.2.7!
