• Loosing "Is this a Root Page" & Multilpe Categories on Web

By Jim Romaine 2 decades ago

This is a really great design. Can't wait to see the upcoming updates mentioned in an earlier post for the new year.

I am currently testing this out for some documentation of an application that I am working on and it is working wonderfully. I hope to have it available in the production environment after further review.

    I have 2 questions:

    1. When in the Notes Client and I select that a Wiki is "a root page" and then edit the document via a browser, this field is loosing its "selection" although the "position number" remains enter when reselecting in the client. Is this due to not having "Generate HTML for all fields" selected and the field getting overwritten ( I am not sure of the complications of not having this property set)? Is there a workaround ( besides resaving in the client?)

    2. When entering multiple categories on the web, shouldn't it be possible to use commas for multiple values in the new entry box? ( Currently I am resaving with each category)

Thanks again for a great application.

Um, no and no! But I will investigate the root page issue. Thanks for posting!

    • Possible solution to loosing "IsRoot" issue?

By Jim Romaine 2 decades ago

I recalled seeing a similiar issue on Notes.net a while back and finally found the posting that may offer a solution for you to consider.

Andre Guirard posted a good response to empty checkboxes which is similiar to the issue I was experiencing here:

      http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/d03e2550eb6242e385257061006a91c7?OpenDocument

With this suggestion, I added the following line to the "fieldSet" subform beneath the is root field:

where the computed text is the field isroot.

This appears to correct the issue that I was having and thought I'd relay it to you for consideration.

      Thanks again,

      Jim
