• new template

By jeroen keet 2 decades ago

I updated my wiki to the new version and alhough there are losts of improvements noticed several problems:

I just replaced the database design with the neuw template and now my old pages don't show no content. The pages are still there in edit mode. I can create new pages I just started experimenting with the template so I only have a few pages. I wanted to copy the pages to new pages. Everything works fine except attachments. I made an image link in the text and they unfortunately don't work. On my domino console I get the error "HTTP WebServer Lotus Notes Exception entry not found in index/wiki.nsf/Pages/image.jpg" Did I mess up something?

No content in read mode means you either need to edit and re-save the relevant pages OR you can

simply run the migration agent as detailed in the "Using this database" document.

The image: syntax issue is fixed in 1.2.1

      • Neither of these worked for me.

After migrating from 1.1 RC8 to 1.2.1, no body content on wiki pages. All the views (index, recent changes, categories, - even backlinks) seem OK.

Double checked Wiki config. updated that.

Ran migrate from 1.2 dev build agent. No change.

        Tried editing pages in client:

Can read and even edit content in notes client. On save, get the following error:

'Type mismatch on external name: WIKIPAGE'.

Page does actually save, but Notes doesn't seem to be aware that the page has been saved. You can select Save all day and the type mismatch error appears. I would have expected that if no changes have been made, the save button would do nothing.

Regardless, after save, no body content is visible in IE 6. have not tried other browsers.

If anyone else has encountered this problem, that would be great.

P.S. We did make some design changes I would have expected to be destroyed when we updated the design, i.e. The "subpage" markup. The subpage breadcrumbs still appear on our pages, however. So the question is, has this been added to v1.2.1, or is this a symptom that the replace design didn't really take, although it appeared to replace the design with no issues?

If you're migrating from a 1.2 release candidate (presume that's what you actually mean by "1.1 RC 8")

there's a separate agent for you (see ACTIONS menu). I would run that first.

A type mismatch implies something very wrong – suggest debugging and coming back to me.

Agreed, the continued existence of the subpage code implies also that a design replace hasn't fully

          "taken".

          • As usual, I am the problem child...

            Yeah - it was 1.2 RC8.

I will try this again & get back to you. I can also try a db that's never been upgraded from 1.1 (although we did make some design changes)

Do you need any special server access rights for the migration agent to run? I am the manager of the wiki db, but I do not have admin rights on our servers.

            Thanks,

            Dave

            • No special access, no

By Benedict R Poole 2 decades ago

Hi Dave. No special access required, although you do need edit rights for any pages you're upgrading,

obviously. The migration agents should be using OpenLog if you need to track anything. The 1.1 -> 1.2

migration code has been heavily tested in 1.2.1. The 1.2 RC -> 1.2 um, less so ;o)
