partial Refreshes and 8.52

Hi Steve,

I did some testing today regarding partial refreshes in the custom controls within the framework. Currently, no matter what partial refresh I use, I get a JavaScript exeption "com.ibm.jscript.InterpretException: 'title' not found. This works fine in 8.51. I can provide a test database, are there some hints or tipps from you side where to dig in ?

I was just reseaching that same issue in my app (same exact error and started after server upgrade to 8.5.2). I thought maybe I was the only one seeing this. Guess not!!

For some of my cases switching to Full refresh works as a temporary fix. But not how I want to leave the app.

Hi Steve,

you're right, in some cases switching to full update helps. I currently try to fit a workflow app into the framework and beeing able to have partial updates there would really speed up the app.

But good to see that I'm not alone !

Hi, found the problem. It is in the Custom Conrol "partTitleBar", the Database link causes the problem. I gave the link an ID (so you see which item causes the problem and copied the formula from "Alternate Text" to the "Label" formula. After that, it works. The old formula in "Label" seems to loose the value for "title" when a partial refresh occurs on the page.

Hi, your solution really helped me a lot. Using it I solved this problem:
