• How start using NSFPeek?

By Tony Austin 2 decades ago

    Bonjour Alain,

I just downloaded NSFPeek and had a quick attempt to use it, but couldn't work out what to do (to analyze some other DB's design)? Unlike say NotesPeek, I couldn't find a "Select Database to Analyze" action.

Please advise how to START using NSFPeekt.

    Cheers, Tony Austin

      Hi Austin,

Copying and pasting any of NSFPeek's views within your applications enables design notes sortation and inspection. "All Documents" view selects all design notes whereas other views collect design notes subsets.

When coloured in dark red, columns in views denote information that is not fully available from Domino Designer. Examples are inherited design template names $Class items, multiples alias names in design notes and design notes properties stored in $Flags item.

NSFPeek core code resides in LotusScript.notes.View package library, "All documents" view plus the Using page "Selection Matrix" section. I recommend you inspect "All Documents" view's design and its columns two to four in particular where you'll find most if not all formula language means to discriminate design notes within a view.

The above instructions originates from NSFPeek Using page. Peeking a remote database is currently not available, although few views demonstrate such ability.

      Hope that helps

      Alain
