• Support for Mozilla browsers on Windows and the Mac

By Jack Ratcliff 2 decades ago

OK, It's been a long time since I have worked on this project. Anyway, thanks to a poster back in January, I stumbled across Sarissa which provides a common interface to dom xml extensions between Mozilla based browsers and IE.

I've been working the past week on tweaking my code to use Sarissa and thus provide client-side xml/xslt views for IE/Win, Firefox/Win/Mac, Mozilla/Win/Mac, and Netscape/Win/Mac.

What I need now is some testers to help test my code on various versions of Windows and the MAC OS as well as various versions of IE, Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape.

Any volunteers? If so, I will post a version 0.1.3 this weekend for download.

    Thanks,

    Jack

    • No one interested?

I haven't posted the code yet but it doesn't appear anyone is interested in this feature. Is that so? Is no one out there using a Mozilla based browser or a Mac and want to do client-side xml/xslt? No more round trips to the server for expanding/collapsing outlines?

Oh well, I guess I'll just keep it for myself. :)

    • volunteer for mac and xp

Would be happy to be a volunteer. I have a xp pro sp2 machine at work and an iMac OS X machine at home.

meanwhile I'm working on implementing htmlarea into domino with an xhtml compliant form, could this be of any help to this project?

      • great!

        Hi Don,

Glad to see someone taking interest in this! You've just motivated me to wrap up what I have so far and post a new release. I'll try and the the 0.1.3 release posted sometime during the Thanksgiving holiday.

As for the htmlArea stuff. That would be good as well. I already have the older version of htmlArea in this project but I've been wanting to replace it with the newest version (3 I believe) which is cross-browser/cross-platform supported.
