• Location of javaddinNSFHook and javaddinExtMgr

    I am a little confused about the location of the files mentioned in the subject.

    In the readme file is written, that you need these files for triggered events, but not specified where to deploy the files on the Domino.

    Currently I have the files in Domino program directory. Is this correct?
    Because nothing is happening if I save a document in the Notes client.

    Another question, I also have a instance of 8.5.4 Social Edition CD5, Dots is pre installed there. Nice, but if I want hook on NSF events, do I need the NSFHook files? Or are these also pre installed?

      Hello,

      You are correct in that those files go into the Domino binary directory. You also need to add:

      EXTMGR_ADDINS=dotsExtMgr

      NSF_HOOKS=dotsNSFHook
into the notes.ini and restart. I noticed your subject said javaddinNSFHook and javaddinExtMgr - these are older names for the files, please make sure you're using version 2.0.3+ of DOTS; prior versions with "javaddin" are deprecated at this time.

Extension Manager and NSF Hooks are not supported in the Social Edition releases. You can still use the OpenNTF versions of those files and it should work for the most part but it's not guaranteed.

With the possible exception of the Extension Manager and NSF Hooks files, with the above caveat, you should not mix the OpenNTF version of the DOTS files with the Social Edition. If you currently have the OpenNTF version installed it is recommended you remove it before using the Social Edition version.

Once the Social Edition ships the DOTS files on OpenNTF will be synced.

Regards,
