I recompiled the Java code and manually ran the agents to convert the Google Alert to News item and everything turned out fine. The urls were not being chopped any longer.

To my amazement I found that this morning that Google alerts being converted through the "On new mail"agents still lost some characters of the urls (typically the last char).



I untagged the Google alerts by a manual agent (=remove geAlertProcessed field) and ran it again with a manual agent (the same code as the on-new-mail !!) and everything turned out fine ….
