• reqNumber of new tickets

    When ticket gets in via mail-in route, opening it shows an unique number, which will be different, if you close and open the document again. It will be different each time, actually, till you assign the ticket finally(and field gets saved). Consider to change default formula for the field, so, it will not display reqNumber in state 0.
