XPages Forum - Defect: Main screen layout is dodgy

- On the main topic page, the layout is messed up.  Long subject lines cause the date, author, and other information to push off the right, while the start of the subject pushes off to the left.  This gives the *appearance* of indentation, implying a response hierarchy, where none is actually present.

- It may be as simple as ditching oneUI.  It does not have very robust layout capability.  Inadequate rubber banding, truncation or lack thereof in bizarre places, extremely wasteful of screen real estate.  The one production system I used it on, I overrode huge chunks of it to get it to render satisfactorily.  If oneUI is the "standard" from here on out it should be tweaked up to render properly.

- I find if I have a 1600px window width it does okay at the expanse of massive swathes of useless white pixels.  But really.  1600px min usable width?  Is that really the target?

Thanks for your time...

Defect has been fixed.

Fixed in Release 7.2

The issue of long subject lines pushing to the left, thereby causing the indentation appearance should be resolved in the upcoming release.

In this field you can enter the actual defect.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
