New Release of File Navigator for Notes

Category Eclipse

Nicole Shaw from IBM has released a new version of her file navigator.

In this version a lot of improvements have been done, including unlocking the client when tree items are expanded, keyboard listening, volume labels are displayed and so on. These extensions have been built in reaction to the requests and defects that were posted earlier by OpenNTF users.

Gravatar Image1 - Wow! Now this thing is really fast! Great Job :)

Will the code of this new version be relaesed in the projects area?

Gravatar Image2 - Matthias, it is already. You don't see it?

Gravatar Image3 - This is now a fantastic plugin - fast, clean design, and extremely useful. Thanks!

Gravatar Image4 - Perfect! Thanks!

Gravatar Image5 - This is great. Really quick - so much better than the earlier version. Delighted with the volume labels.

Thanks for taking on the suggestions.

I have one wee stickler though: it is possible to delete without being prompted to confim and the deleted item is not moved to trash and I fear this may cause issues.

Would it be possible to at least prompt before deleting?

kind regards

Gravatar Image6 - Thank you - I've been wanting something like this for so long that I almost considered trying to figure out how to rig one up myself (And, um, my programming's gotten a bit rusty since my Commodore 64 days)! Thanks again.

Gravatar Image7 - @Niklas: I can only see Version 1.0.0 in the project area? But this one is 1.0.1, isn't it?

Gravatar Image8 - Matthias, sorry, I didn't mark it as released. Fixed it.

Gravatar Image9 - Great! Thanks :)

Gravatar Image10 - Does this support non-windows OS i.e. Ubuntu, Mac, Redhat etc? It doesn't seem to work in in my Notes 8.5.1 client on Ubuntu 9.04

Gravatar Image11 - Really great !
Absolutely love this widget. Emoticon

Gravatar Image12 - Good stuff.

As a possible feature: Have a file navigation system like this but the contents are stored in a Notes database (the xpage discussion template).

Coupled with DAOS, this could be a big thing for us and reduce the number of attachments sent via e-mail.
