Forgot your Yahoo password?

If any of you have a Yahoo account, make sure your profile info is uptodate. I signed up for Flickr recently which was bought by Yahoo and requires a Yahoo id now - 10 min later I got an email saying my password had been reset. I tried updating the Yahoo account using the help pages but realized I had no idea what zip code I had put in when I set up the profile 10 years ago and none of the variations I tried worked. I sent several emails to Yahoo Customer care, and the note below is all I got from them. Ironically, I'm still signed into Flickr using the Yahoo id that I can no longer use on Yahoo. I understand that email has privacy restrictions, but they were absolutely unwilling to even entertain any option unless I provided the zip code. Why even allow us to email them if they're not going to entertain any option other than the online self-reset based on profile information I don't remember.

We've had several users who've emailed us on OpenNTF having forgotten their profile information and we've always reset their id for them after verifying that its a valid request. No more Yahoo for me!

Hi ..i do remember recenly i clicked on flickr link, after that my yahoo password is reset and i got a mail to my alternate account. Now i do not remember zip code which i entered during registration, which i did around 10 yrs back.

Now can you please suggest...how can i get my account back ?? I wrote to Yahoo account service....but they are helpless without zip code. ?? What to do ??

hi,
i accessed my yahoo account on feb 12, 2007 the last time. the same day i received an email on my alternate address that my password had been changed. i use a public pc ...it is possible that someone hacked my account because my zip/postal code does not work either. i'm willing to provide more information if required. please help me retrieve this account as all my documents have this email address and i will be receiving job offers on it.

I have the same flickr problem. I origianlly logged on as bikerchaps13@yahoo.com. No real info provided because this was a "throw away" addy created for a buddy to snoop on his kids online activities. I know - shame on me. Any-hoo, I liked flickr, posted some stuff and changed my info to a real account. Evidently there is some flickr snag and it is askeing me to log in with the bikerchaps13 info. Help, I'd like to get to my flickr account.

I too am locked out of my yahoo acct. Initially registered with bogus info years ago just for a free and temporary email address. I then came to depend on this address and after recent password update, forget the login; or rather forget the correct spelling of the paswd. All variations I tried fail.

I less curious about knowing how you can reset pw, than I am about how I can authenticate myself to you in order for a pw reset. It's going on 3 weeks now since I was last able to get into my acct. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am wondering if Yahoo is having issues with hackers. I created a Yahoo account audubonumc on Yahoo with well known date of birth information and easily remembered but strong level password. It is no longer working. Any ideas on how to get Yahoo to reset it? Yahoo sends automated email even when using valid alternate email address used when I created the account.
Any suggestion or advice is appreciated.
