Problems with Rich Text Field in Stories

Details
Maybe its my server configuration, but if I try to add more then 2 Pictures by "Import" to the document, the pictures are gone when I save the story. Broken Links to the pictures still resist.
Does anyone have an idea how I could make this work? Is it the database or something like a limitation of the size of RTF-Fields?
