Imorting Notes Addresses

Details
I'm an admin and not a developer so maybe I'm doing something wrong but I could not find a way to import the addresses from my local address book. It seems like I should be able to simply copy them over but it doesn't work.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks for assistance.
