Project: Domino Web Tools (Managed by Jack Ratcliff)
 | The request

| Proposed by: | Dietmar Dumke |
| Project Master Chef: | Jack Ratcliff |
| Feature type: | Functionality |
| Brief Description: | Addressbook and DateTime-Slicer helpers |
| Status: | Submitted |
More features, worth being part of a toolset:
Feature 1: Web counterpart of the Notes Adressbook helper button for Names fields.
Should support
-selection of single names
-selection of multiple names
-selection from multiple addressbooks (which are already configured using directory assistance)
Plus
-show all types
-show mailable types only (persons, mailin databases, mail & multipurpose groups)
-show types useable to restrict access rights only (persons, multipurpose and access groups)
I already found a puzzle piece for this (in TheView March/April 2000), currently working well in IE but not in Gecko browsers, although the JScript code branches for IE and Non-IE. Unfortunately, I'm absolutely not a JS professional, may be you are; to be able to correct the code. If you are interested in the code download it from www.eview.com.
Feature 2: Kind of web counterpart of Time slicer for datetime/datetime range fields.
As your know, a datetime field can hold
-one date only (this is already implemented in WebCalendar)
-a date range
-a time only (it may be sufficient to have a time field with up-down arrows to walk thru the time)
-a time range
-a date+time
-a date+time range
We need web controls to supply these different types of values easy way.
Of course, everything cross browser (at least IE and Gecko based browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape)) |
