Hi Ben.
Single Copy Template is a great benefit. We save 40 GB with it or rather gave it back to the users (all users have a quota) and everybody likes the performance on our Domino Servers.

But Single Copy Template also needs the design task for removing the designelements.
So I can deactivate it and they have a SCT based template, but the template is still in the mailfile. I dont want to run design on all new databases manually.

So without SCT feature, I will agree with you, to run design manually. Alternative I can run design weekly to remove the design elements from template, but then I have the same problem with deactivated Out of Office Agents...

I will talk to IBM again.
