target _blank in LeftColumn navigator

Details
I am trying to create an external link from the navigator in the LeftColumn facet in ccOneUILayout.
For example:
<xe:basicLeafNode label="Google" href="http://www.google.com/"></xe:basicLeafNode>;
The issue is I cannot figure out how to target this to a new browser page, for example, target="_blank".
Is there a way to do this?
