As Steve McDonagh had little time to work on his Name Picker, Richard Brouwer and I (Martijn de Jong) joined the project to release the changes we made to his code.
This release includes an overhaul of all the Javascript code in the Name Picker. The Yahoo libraries were removed as this name picker only used limited functionality of these libraries which didn't justify the extra load time. Because of these changes the JavaScript code als became easier to read and to change to your own need.
I've included a JavaScript function and agent to check which Domino Directories a user has access to. I needed this functionality for a customer of mine, as some users at this customer aren't even allowed to view users in the primary Domino Directory. I don't think many users will face the same situation, but the code is there if you need it.
We did fix all bugs we could find in Steve's latest version. Let us know if you find any or would like to see extra functionality. |
Tested on Domino 7 & Domino 8.5. I don't expect any problems on Domino 6 and higher. I doubt that it will work on R5, but you can try.
Tested on IE6, IE8, Firefox 3.5 & Firefox 3.6 and working fine on these browsers. Hover effect on the buttons doesn't work in IE6. |
I found 2 minor issues.
- If you use both the extended lookup and the multiple selection popup on one form and you don't close the one or the other before clicking another field with popup, the windows aren't cleared properly
- The height of the multiple selection popup window exceeds the search popup window by 2 pixels
We'll fix both problems in the next release.
If you find any other issues, please let us know. |
