Often a result of internal investigations or litigation hold requests, companies are asked to print a large view full of emails and related attachments -- so that they can be manualy reviewed by attorneys or experts.
This is often done manually, email by email, attachment by attachment. This is complicated when physical "seperator pages" or "blue sheets" are requested between the emails, or between the emails and the attachments.
The tool needs to log what it does. Specifically it should log:
(a) errors where it couldnt print the attachment (e.g. if the application for the app was not locally installed);
(b) when certain types of files are encountered that tend to need manual review of their printing (e.g. excel files often need to be checked to make sure they printed everything; and
(c) whether web-site links are in the email that may need to be printed as well (if the tool cant open those links and print them as part of the process). |
