This control can be used in custom applications to display bookmarks from IBM Lotus Connections from a specific user.

Technically this sample shows how to use Dojo Atom utilities to read the bookmarks via the Lotus Connections Atom API. See here for more: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/library/connections-deploy-pt7/

In order to access another server from the client side Dojo JavaScript the Domino HTTP proxy server is used to handle the one domain security policy. See here for more: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/library/inotes-full/index.html

With the proxy requests like this can be made directly from the client side JavaScript:
