Description
Staying current and being well informed is becoming more and more essential in today's business environment. The PAVONE NewsReader is an application that assists you in this endeavor. The PAVONE NewsReader collects messages from RSS-based channels. These channels are offered by a multitude of sources. Using PAVONE NewsReader the messages can be collected manually or automatically in the background. Afterwards they can be transferred to other Lotus Notes / Domino databases by E-mail or by the integrated PAVONE KnowledgeGateway®. PAVONE NewsReader allows you to enjoy time savings with a solution that is fully integrated into your Lotus Notes environment.
The PAVONE NewsReader can be installed locally on a Lotus Notes client (5.0.2 or higher) or shared on a Lotus Domino server (5.0.2 or higher).
The PAVONE NewsReader is available as Freeware for personal use in the Lotus Notes Client.
The PAVONE NewsReader offers the following functionality:
* Manual or automatic reading of RSS/XML based channels.
* Categorization of messages by content.
* Automatic deletion of obsolete messages.
* Flexible configuration of collection intervals.
* Searching for keywords in messages.
* Forwarding of messages as E-mail.
* Filing of messages in other databases via PAVONE KnowledgeGateway®.
* Management of an unlimited number of channels.
* Individual read access control for separate channels and creation control for channels.
* Perfect integration with the Lotus Workplaces Welcome Page (Lotus Notes 6.5 or higher).
* Import of OPML-files (or URLs)
* Export of OPML-files
* News can be provided as own RSS Feed (Lotus Domino 6.x Server recommended)
* Channels can be providet as an OPML directory (Lotus Domino 6.x Server recommended)
* Create newspapers (Online-news) for better readability
* 100 predefined channels for immediate use
* Define any Lotus Notes Database as a RSS source (database requires aditional view.)
* Choose channels by language. Channels can be sorted within the lotus Notes view
